Captain’s update 23/07

Hi all

The last few weeks have been hectic with non rowing activities, such as the Barnes Fair and the Summer ‘Farewell Jo’ BBQ.

Despite being a pretty rotten day we made £300 in the rowing machine competition and cake selling. Thank you to all involved in making it such a success. Details of the winners and photo of the super stall can be seen on the website: https://www.bblrc.co.uk//2012/07/barnes-fairs-erg-challenge-winners-announced/

On Friday we had a BBQ at the Captain’s place in Putney. We presented the Henley crews with engraved momentos and we sadly had to say goodbye to Jo. We presented Jo with a photo of Barnes Bridge (and a Wiggle voucher, which came a bit later)  from all the generous donations. I think Jo will miss us a little and she will most definitely be missed by all at the club. Despite the weather report, we were saved from the rain, with only a few drops spilled. A late night and the need for many recycling bags, suggests a good time was had by all. Details of the night, with photos of Jo’s presentation, https://www.bblrc.co.uk//2012/07/bblrc-summer-bbq/
